Philadelphia, PA: Vedge

Looking for the best vegan restaurants in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania? Allow me to put you on to Vedge in Old City!

This 2025 Michelin Recommended Restaurant is a modern fine dining experience that puts plants on a pedestal!

Vedge is a great spot for plant based/vegan dinner, dessert & drinks😍

It's the perfect place to impress your vegan and non-vegan date, friends, or family :)

Unless you are fine with sitting at the bar, a reservation is recommended.

The vibe is intimate and low lit with their dress code being "smart casual". In other words, you can dress up if you want, but essentially wear whatever. Maybe not a hoodie and ripped jeans but a nice top and dark jeans would be fine.

The food is SO impressive and flavorful. Many menu items change based on the time of year!

& I have to note that this is one of my favorite vegan restaurants that I've ever been to! I love celebrating birthdays here and bringing family and friends to experience the delicious menu😊

Location & Hours

Vedge is located in the Old City/ Center City/ Gayborhood area of the city

at 1221 Locust St Philadelphia, PA 19107

Currently, their hours are:

Tuesday - Thursday: 5pm - 9 pm

Friday & Saturday: 5pm - 9:30 pm

Vedge is inside of a beautiful old brownstone mansion and the sign is not always the easiest to see. Just look for the "V" sign and go up the steps.

What I've ordered

Everything that we have gotten so far has been soo pretty, delicious, & flavorful!

Its a tapas menu, in other words, small-medium sized plates. When Joey and I go just the two of us, we typically get 4-5 plates + a dessert🤗

As I mentioned above, this menu is always changing so some of the food I have had there is no longer on the menu.

Rutabega Fondue- with today's pretzel and yesterday's pickles

Brussels Sprouts- shaved and grilled with smoked grain mustard

Campfire Carrot-- with bbq lentils, smoked carrot mustard, and carrot slaw

Fingerling Potatoes-- with peruvian aji amarillo, cured olive, peanut, and cilantro

Spicy Dan Dan Noodles-- with black vinegar glazed trumpet mushroms, sesame, and sichuan pepper

Gochujang glazed tofu-- with miso potato mash, shiso salad and radish vinaigrette

Grilled Asparagus-- with rutabaga bearnaise and smoked white bean salad

Stuffed Avocado-- with almond romesco, picked cauliflower, crispy rice and black salt

Wood Roasted Carrot-- with pumpernickel, saurkraut, carrot mustard and carrot kimchee

Deviled Celery Root Crepe- with smoked tofu, english peas, spring onions, and green horseradish butter

Grilled Avocado-- with deviled hearts of palm, chile rojo and pipian verde sauces

Charred Delicata Squash- with hominy fritters, refried quinoa, aji amarillo, and zucchini escabeche

Carrot Rillettes-- Whole soybeans steamed in a pod sprinkled with sea salt

The Dessert and Tea menu is also always changing so to be honest, I don't remember what all I've had!

From creamy vegan cheesecakes to gourmet vegan brownies, puddings and tartes, each dessert is sooo perfectly crafted and absolutely mouth watering!

Let me know if you get the chance to check this spot out & tell me what you got & what you think of it!

I hope this helps!
