Hibiscus Punch

Ingredients

Recipe inspired by nutritionfacts.org:

__Hibiscus Tea, 2-4 tea bags or 4-8 grams of tea leaves

__Water, 1 pitcher or about 32 ounces

__Lemon or Lime, 1-2 medium large size, freshly squeezed

__Agave or Date Sugar, 1/4 cup



Optional Add-ins

__Amla powder (indian gooseberry powder), 1 spoonful

__Ginger, 1/2-1 spoonful of ground ginger OR 1 inch knob sliced or peeled

__Orange, 1 medium sized, freshly squeezed

__Coconut water, 1/4 of the pitcher (about 8 oz) or add it into each individual drink that you pour

Measurement Key:

Spoonful = 1 teaspoon (tsp)

Light layer = 1/2 - 1 tablespoon (tbsp)

Medium layer = 1.5 - 2 tablespoons (tbsp)

Heavy layer = 3 - 4 tablespoons (tbsp)

How To

Step 1

Add water and tea leaves to a large pitcher or jar (if adding fresh ginger, for most flavor, add it now)


Step 2

Put in fridge over night or for at least 6 hours


Step 3

Remove pitcher from fridge. Slice the lemon(s) in half & squeeze the juice into the tea (use a jucing tool if you have one)


Step 4

Add your sweetner of choice & mix with a large spoon or stick


Step 5

Taste check & Enjoy!
