Ingredients

__Garlic, 2 cloves, chopped small
__Onion, 1/2 medium sized, (1/2 cup), chopped
__Bell Pepper, 1/2 medium sizedm (1/2 cup), chopped
__Mushrooms, 3/4 of container, (2 cups), chopped
__Carrot, 1 medium sized, (1/2 cup), chopped
__Bean of choice, 1 can, drained & rinsed
__Flour of choice, 6 heaping spoonfuls (1/3 cup)
__Cumin, light layer
__Paprika, light layer
__Chili powder, 1 - 2 spoonfuls (optional)
__Soy sauce, 2 - 3 spoonfuls
__Vegetable broth or olive oil, 2 spoonfuls
__Salt & Pepper, 1/2 spoonful each
Measurement Key:
Spoonful = 1 teaspoon (tsp)
Light layer = 1/2 - 1 tablespoon (tbsp)
Medium layer = 1.5 - 2 tablespoons (tbsp)
Heavy layer = 3 - 4 tablespoons (tbsp)
How To
Step 1
Heat veggie broth or oil in a pan over medium heat
Step 2
Add onions and garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes
Step 3
Add the diced mushrooms, carrots, bell pepper and soy sauce. Cook for about 4 minutes or until veggies are soft
Step 4
Mash beans in a separate medium sized bowl, leaving them kind of chunky
Step 5
Combine beans, cooked veggies, flour, and spices
Step 6
Use your hands and form mixture into patties
Step 7
Cook on a lightly oiled pan for about 5 minutes per side
Step 8
Enjoy on a warm or toasted bun with your favorite burger toppings!
