Soup (Little Sip of Lancaster)

__Onion, 1/4 of a big one or 1/2 of medium sized, chopped small

__Celery, 4 stalks, chopped small

__Potatoes, 2 large, chopped small

__Cabbage, half of a head, chopped

__Plant milk of your choice, about 3 cups (I use oat milk)

__Vegetable broth or water, about 3 cups

__Garlic powder, medium layer

__Hickory liquid smoke, 4 drops or 1 cap full

__Black Pepper, light layer

__Salt, to taste, at end


Measurement Key:

Spoonful = 1 teaspoon (tsp)

Light layer = 1/2 - 1 tablespoon (tbsp)

Medium layer = 1.5 - 2 tablespoons (tbsp)

Heavy layer = 3 - 4 tablespoons (tbsp)

How To

Step 1

Add chopped onions & celery to pot on medium heat

Step 2

Add a few splashes of water & let simmer for 2-4 mins with lid on

Step 3

Add spices, potatoes, water, & oatmilk. Stir

Step 4

Wait for the pot to boil with the lid on

Step 5

After boiling, add cabbage and let simmer with lid on for at least 40 mins. Stir often

Step 6

When its finished, add salt

Step 7

Taste check & Enjoy!
